“Laura is smart, passionate, and hard-working. She has shown her commitment to the town by recapping Town Board meetings in an effort to increase transparency and drive community engagement. She’s a regular at First Fridays where she listens intently, but is also not afraid to speak her mind. Laura is incredibly energetic with fresh new ideas. She will be a welcome addition to our Board and will undoubtedly help us develop better ways to communicate with our residents. “Over the past 11 years, I’ve had the opportunity to know and work with Laura Skladzinski in multiple capacities. Locally, I watched Laura make significant contributions to how Colorado attracts and develops its workforce, most notably through her publication of the 2013 COIN Talent Report. As a business leader, community builder, record-setting athlete and active volunteer, Laura exemplifies honesty, reliability, and enthusiasm. I wholeheartedly support Laura Skladzinski for Superior’s Board of Trustees. If you want high-impact action, and pragmatic and mission-driven insight into Superior’s problems and needs, vote for Laura this fall. I am sure she will hit the ground running on day one as a Trustee!”

“Laura Skladzinski has been extremely thorough in providing her updates of the town meetings and in her pro-activeness in organizing community events. As a member of the community – I appreciate this! Her background in breaking down complex problems is applicable to the position. I appreciate her stated approach of implementing on a small scale, learning, and then making larger scale decisions. This is best practice in business today. She is forward thinking and proactive. I’m excited to vote for her for this position.”

“I can’t think of a better person for Superior Trustee.
We are lucky that 6 people have made our decision on whom to vote very difficult. Do you have a go-to trustee candidate? One person who you’re like, “Well I’m definitely voting for this person but I’ll need to think about the other two.” I think about it in these terms: if I want someone’s opinion on a local issue, who can I trust to give me the straight-skinny? For me that person is Laura Skladzinski. She considers options and opinions thoughtfully, and she thinks long-term with an angle for what is both possible and practical.
You know what else is great about Laura? She doesn’t want people to have to fight to find information about what’s going on. Access to information shouldn’t be about who you know. Laura is social-media and technology-savvy and she will leverage those skills to make sure everyone in Superior who wants to know can easily find out the latest happenings.
I’ll decide the other two candidates who are getting my vote this week, but one of those decisions was a no-brainer: Laura Skladzinski.”

“A shout out for my friend Laura Skladzinski who is running for Trustee of the Town of Superior. Laura needs our help to get the word out. So, if you agree with me please share this with your friends and neighbors.
Laura graduated from Cornell and works as a management consultant. Currently, she is a director in the Consumer Markets Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She was named one of BizWest Magazine’s “40 under 40” in Boulder Valley. At PwC, she evaluates business opportunities for major clients and creates and implements plans for client success.
Laura is a skilled analyst. She knows how to read and interpret complex financials and analyze complex problems. And, she can communicate, plainly, best and worst case scenarios and recommendations.
Laura does not shy away from controversy, but insists on always thoroughly studying and understanding an issue before offering a solution.
Laura is a hard-driving, young, enthusiastic and dynamic leader. She’s a runner who loves Superior and who will make a great Town Trustee.”

“I now have a ballot sitting on my desk in my home office. If you live in Superior, you probably have a ballot now, too. I haven’t made all of my election decisions yet, but here’s why I’m voting for Laura Skladzinski for Superior Trustee.
She’s proactive: Face it. Life is busy. And there’s never enough time to get to everything. I see it all the time. People end up reacting to everything that’s thrown at them. And they rarely step back and rise above it all. Laura is different—she’s a big-time planner. She wants the Town of Superior to update the 2012 Comprehensive Plan so we can use it as a “beacon to guide our choices.” I still remember that phrase from her opening remarks at the Candidates Forum. It struck me as different—refreshing, even. And it has stayed with me.
She’s dedicated: Laura has invested a lot of time and energy recapping Town Board meetings for residents in her blog posts. They are well written and easy to read, and I’m sure they take her a lot of time. She works tirelessly to answer questions and educate residents on various topics via social media. She’s also volunteered at numerous events since she moved here. Seriously. I don’t know where she gets the energy!
She’s thoughtful: I’m consistently impressed with the research Laura does. She bases her position on both quantitative and qualitative input, but isn’t afraid to take a stand and speak her mind. She takes the time to listen to residents to understand where they’re coming from. As Trustee, I know she’ll work to fully understand issues before making her decisions. She’s already introduced one out-of-the-box idea: the opportunity for high school students to be interns and help with Town communications.
She’s business-savvy: Laura brings a fresh perspective based on her career as a management consultant working with retail businesses. I see a huge upside having Laura on the Board as we enter into conversations with developers and businesses in the coming years. For example, she understands the risks our community faces when such an enormous percent of our sales tax revenue (85%) comes from just a handful of businesses. She’s also thinking about how we position Superior favorably given that businesses have a choice between Superior, Louisville, and Broomfield and face drastically different business costs in each location.
As a Superior resident, I know that voting for Laura will mean that I am heard, understood, informed, and represented. Please join me by casting your vote for Laura for Superior.”

“I am writing to encourage you to join me in voting for Laura Skladzinski, a candidate for Superior Trustee. Laura brings a fresh perspective to the challenges we face as a community. Her professional credentials are impeccable. She is thoughtful, hard-working, and disciplined in her approach to drilling down into the data underlying a challenge, to ensure that she understands all sides of the issues important to us. Laura is a person of high integrity and she will offer transparency in her decision-making on our behalf. If you do not yet know Laura, please take a moment to review her website, which is packed with information about her and her platform, along with many endorsements from a variety of recognized local leaders. In my opinion, Laura is the right person to serve in this role at this time, and as a community we are fortunate that she is willing to do so.”

“Here’s why I’m voting for Laura for Superior Trustee. I first met Laura at Town Hall where she presented a solution to address parking/speeding issues on Castle Peak. My second meeting with her was at a JWill Pillow Party where she donated her time to sew pillows for breast cancer patients. I’ve also spent time with her at a mural painting project with the local Superior Cub Scouts and she’s read to my children at Rock Creek School. I’ve also attended her Sundaes in the park. I’m a firm believer that actions speak louder than words…and Laura’s actions have shown that she is 100% dedicated to our community. I hope you will join me in voting for Laura for Superior.”

“As you all fill out your ballots and contemplate which 3 candidates to pick for Superior trustee, I just want to plug Laura Skladzinski for a minute. I have gotten to know her over the last year since she is involved in SO much in our community. She really gets to know individuals and their needs. I have noticed her having many meetings with various community members, business owners, and individuals involved in our area’s government to find out how she can help. She is an experienced manager, organized, and personable. She even posts a detailed report of every town meeting, which I really appreciate! I know she will be fantastic on the board of trustees and a major proponent for making Superior the best town it can be.”

“I admire people who not only have talent but share their talent unconditionally even when their schedule is overflowing. Laura Skladzinski became involved in Rock Creek School for the love of literacy. Every Friday Laura stops by at Rock Creek School to read to our Kindergarten Enrichment students. Laura Skladzinski has a vested heart in our community and a passion for education. She is someone I trust, someone who is transparent, and someone who helps to make information easily accessible.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Laura Skladzinski this summer. I am especially impressed by Laura’s commitment to community engagement and her ideas for improvements in this area, as I also share this passion, and I believe this has the potential to be incredibly impactful. I think her business consulting background will be helpful in navigating the challenges in front of us related to the Marketplace and Superior Town Center build-out. She has a great problem solving attitude which includes gathering as much information as possible on both sides of an issue before making decisions. I believe Laura would make an excellent Town of Superior Trustee.”

“The Boulder Weekly newspaper endorsed Laura Skladzinski for Superior Trustee. Why do we endorse Laura?
She has a very business savvy background as a consultant in retail business with Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC). This professional background will bring a huge benefit to our Town and to local growing businesses.
Laura has shown a great ability to listen to residents, and evaluate both sides of facts and opinions on issues facing our Town before she makes a decision.
Increasing the avenues of communications with residents is also a top priority for Laura. Building on her technology expertise she has concrete ideas on how to better dialog and increase transparency between the Town and residents. She regards our Town residents as “consumers” of Town services and desires to develop ways as to how we can better serve those “consumers”.
Laura has shown a time and service commitment to serve on the Board of Trustees. She has spent many hours working with us on the Town CAPS committee, attended all Town Board meetings, committees and sharing her notes and thoughts on each meeting. She also has a genuine passion for building community and increasing events in our town.
We are thrilled to have someone of Laura’s caliber running for Superior Board of Trustees. Please join us in casting your vote for Laura Skladzinski!”
